My Book Of Deeds

Chapters of my life go,
As I continue to grow,
Becoming who Allah willed me to be,
Unapologetically, for the whole world to see,
Allah’s blessings upon me.

For I am Allah’s free slave,
Proudly, His mercy and pleasure I crave.
Surely, Allah knows best,
So I trust unconditionally, through every test.

It’s a promise I sincerely took,
For Allah, I held the Book,
Firmly grasped what Allah gave,
And, in shaa Allah, will uphold it to the grave.

Chapters of my life turn,
In Hell, I don’t want to burn,
A fire too severe to bear,
A punishment I refuse to share.

Truth’s bright light with steadfastness, I declare.
For I am grateful, I no longer am drowning in ignorance and despair,
Allah has always been there,
And He is the most fair.

Chapters of my life pass,
In Jannah, I long to be,
Lying on gardens of grass,
Finally seeing the One who always cared for me.

Chapters of my life go by,
Now, I am unafraid to die,
Regardless of people screams and cries,
For death is but a doorway, a blessing in disguise.

So here I stand, unafraid, unrelenting,
This life is fleeting, always ending.
Until then, I won’t be pretending,
But striving my best, never relenting.

Then, when I receive my book of deeds,
I’ll rush with joy, fulfilled indeed.
For I have tried, I have given my best,
And left the rest to Allah — the Most Just.
